Hi All
I would just like to say a personal thank you to Sam for such a great website and all the effort he has put in over the winter in creating it. I know not many of the clubs members have caught onto the site yet but those of us who have very much appreciate it. Hopefully those who read this will join me in wishing Sam good luck for the next 6 months, hopefully all will go well for you sir and hope to see you back later on in the year and then ready for the 2008 season!!!!. You will be our honorary 2007 1st XI (Division 5 Champions) squad member but I know there is a chance you might be able to play one game anyway.
If I dont see you before you go Sam all the best mate

Yeah well done mate had a blast chatting on here you definatly deserve something for all the work that has gone in to this site. the club will miss your cricketing talent and enthusiasm and in the club house too
well i thought it was the least i could do for the club, struggling to recruit new players and not having a active out of season link to other members i thought this could be changed and when i started i said to stuart barwood, when i finish this site will be one of the best in the county!! the 1st winter it has been online i have had one email for a new recruit and passed the site name onto two other hopefuls, its nice to see everones average at the end of the seasopn and the scorecards after a match. also for youngstars its a inspiration for them to look at the adult cricket doing well and wanting to continue onto the 1st XI. I would like every club member to have access to the internet some way or another however i know this isnt true but passing a message onto them about the site they might think of it when on the web next and feel something for the club again.
i feel the site has developed past my starting expectations and i really enjoyed working on it, i just hope my successor could keep it running, even if its only the scores ad when i return i can finish the averages etc off.
Just a message to all, thankyou for your support and if you feel that the site could do with anything more, however small or big it is please do not hesitate to contact me through the email links or this forum.
I wish the Club a very sucessful future especially in 2007 and look forward to forcing the hardened gloves out of the unlucky sucessor who steps into my spikes.
i have a lot of respect for this club, not only has it developed my cricket giving me the oppertunaty to play a high mens standard (and low) but the social side is one of the best i have had.
as a final note i would like to say, keep moving forward and devlop the youngstars and pushing into the 1st XI, if you are dropped from the 1st XI look hard and think why! dont give up... maybe arrange a training session with another member, dont forget that cricket is changing all the time and you maybe needed just to block out other bowlers but then the next week seeing that they have a weak bowling attack you might be dropped for an attacker!!
i hope to see everyone of you at the social night when i return for a well earned drink and to celebrate promotion!!
good luck to all in 2007 and beyond. _________________ Over 90% of the game is half mental!
