1st XI Games

what do people think about first XI cricketers having to wear shirt and tie to games, this just looks a bit smarter and more professional!!
gatty

does it include the scorer
Joel

yes of course. you must look smart too!!
admin

in all fairness i dont think a shirt and tie would suit, i have asked for club jackets like the hockey club have but once again nothing was done about it, i thinksomething with the team logo on it would suit, and possibly all the 1st xi players having to wear the club shirt, although i did rebel because of the silly fabric....

matty you look like a dork what ever you wear so knock yourself out with a suit and maybe your school tie Smile
Joel

club shirts would loook good and with that some sponsorship could bring extra money in to the club!
Artois

Who did you ask about club jackets?

I think either would be good.  However, they would have to be a better pattern than Sudbury's, they look like ice cream salesmen.

Club ties are available
inzie

garner, we r a div 6 side.......

not even div 1 do that.

no good lookin the part if u dont play it..... by turning up lookin like idiots, if we play like it then nothins lost or gained haha
Joel

just gets you in that professional mentality but i think new club shirts are a good idea
stretch16

didnt realise we had entered county championship joel ties and suits wateva next. next thing ull be asking for a jukebox. club tracksuits would be better if u wanted something like that
samtruss1986

jukebox, good topic, let see if we can twist the chairmans arm to letting us have one?!
again tracksuits and playing tops would be good. there are a few websites that do them.........
agreed with andy, as long as it dont look like ice cream sales persons, could get confusing in peak summer.
inzie

lets get a jukey..................haha
samtruss1986

basic money winner,
Artois

The jukebox idea wasn't quashed by the last Chairman.

It's the fact that we would need a performing rights licence every year, which would cost us around £1200 each time.

Don't reckon it would be enough of a money spinner to cover that Sammy old boy.

Agreed that we need to improve the music situation though mate
samtruss1986

haha, sparks fly......

yea does need sorting, i have a stereo that sits on my bedroom floor with a towel over it..... if the club wanted to borrow this then i would be willing to give it up, however it doesnt have radio as i have lost the antenna.... let me know and i caould bring it up.
