TWO COUNTIES AGM MEETING

well hello long time no surf on here, good to see its all still working,
well ill get to the point of this topic...
after reading the twocounties.com website it appears that there will be an agm meeting descussing (many things i should imagine) possibilities of new rules for the 2008 season, although the 2007 season has just finished and many players are looking back on the season we cant ignore the TC AGM. From what i have been reading on there website there might be some new rules to next seasons game. (stated below)

Proposed Rule Changes for the AGM are as below. (The full versions will be forwarded to your TC Rep by the Hon Sec)
1. Change to Rule 12 to change from 2/3rd to over 50% i.e. If there are 50 Clubs in the TC then 26 votes carries an amendment.
2. Change to Rule 17a (and other rules that refer to the average system) Six points will be awarded to each side for matches unable to be completed because of weather, plus batting and bowling points achieved at the time of abandonment. League positions will now be decided by a points system. In the event of teams having equal points, the team winning more matches shall decide - if still equal then points gained in matches between the teams shall decide.
3. Change to Rule 19. Extension of 2 balls per match to include Div 1, 2 and 3.
4. Change to Rule 22. All matches to start at 1pm (Div 1 12.30 from 15th August, all other Divs 12.30 from 15th Sept.)
5. Change to Rule 15. Except in Div 1 all matches shall consist of 80 six ball overs.
6. New Rule. No bowler shall be allowed to bowl more than 1/3rd of the overs.
7. New Rule. No bowler shall be allowed to bowl more than 25% of the overs.

it also states that we have a say in these changes thorugh our "club rep" although our rep is warren (apoligies if incorrect please make new rep known) i dont recall hearing him speak up about these possible changes. I personally am not happy about some of the possible changes and on the other hand am for some of the possible changes to go ahead.
The point im getting at here is if he doesnt ask the club members their view on these changes then is he giving the club view on the changes or his own.

Question is could this be changed for the whole club to give an opinion at the TC AGM not just a select few or one view??

anyone care to answer my question would be greatly appriceated.

many thanks

trussy (snr)

p.s please excuse the grammer and spelling.

These rule changes were discussed at length and voted on at the last committee meeting on 27th September.

In my experience, the committee vote on how we will vote at the league A.G.M. Maybe for next year, we could invite the membership to air their views etc.
